What to Expect

What to Expect

  • What is a typical Sunday worship service like?   While most of our services typically follow a structured outline, our 8:00 am service is historic, in that it follows the historic liturgy & music of our church, with our 10:00 am service incorporating both historic & contemporary elements.

  • What denomination is this church?   Holy Trinity is a congregation of the Lutheran Church- Missouri Synod.

  • How should I dress?   Come as you are or dress in your Sunday Best.  Jesus looks at the heart, not at what you are wearing.

  • What about my kids?   Children are most welcome to attend our worship services.  We also have Sunday school classes for all ages (preschool through adult) at 9:05 am every Sunday.

  • May I take communion?   We invite all adults who know Jesus as their Savior and Lord and who understand that the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ are truly present in the Lord's Supper to come to Communion with us.  Children are encouraged to come with the adults and receive a blessing.  If you are unable to come to the front for Communion, please notify the Duty Elder, sit on an aisle seat and Communion will be brought to you.  For more information about our belief regarding the Lord's Supper, please click here.

  • How can I get connected?   You can get connected by filling out a one of our 'Let's Get Acquainted' cards contained in our 'Welcome Home' visitor packets.  During the service, generally before the offering, Pastor will ask for visitors to raise their hands.  At this time the Duty Elders will greet you with a visitor packet and small gift from Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.   Once you complete the Let's Get Acquainted' card you may place it in the offering plate.  We also invite you to fill out the guest portion of a Connection Prayer Request Card located on the back table of the church, or in each pew.

  • Where do I park?   You may park in any of the designated parking areas.  Several visitor parking spaces are available as well.  There are three rows of parking directly across from the church on the opposite side of the circle.  There is also overflow parking in the grassy area marked 'Overflow Parking' just off to the right upon entering the property.

  • What door do I enter?   The sanctuary is located in the first building to your left upon entering the property.  You will enter through the double doors located under the overhang with the cross on the roof.  (Entry doors shown in the picture at the top of this page.)

  • How long is the service?   Generally our service will last about an hour.

  • What are the expectations of membership?   An informational booklet entitled "What if I Desire to Join This Church" is located on the back table of the church.  If you would like to become a member of Holy Trinity, or would just like more information, please contact the church office at (813) 949-7173.

  • Do you offer any support for the hearing impaired?   Our sanctuary is equipped with a Hearing Loop System for hearing aid or cochlear devices that are equipped with the "T", "T-Coil" or telephone position.
